On Friday evening 9 October, Plan International Belgium takes to the streets of Ghent with Her Walk. The brand-new walking event calls attention to the safety of girls, in Belgium and worldwide.

Event agency New Balls Please is a partner from day one: the team volunteers its time and expertise to help build the event.

Expertise in service of a good cause

From its offices in Kruisem and Amsterdam, New Balls Please organises corporate events, incentives and international events. For Her Walk, the agency contributes that expertise free of charge. The team helps bring the event to life, from the preparations to the evening itself.

“Behind the scenes and on the route: we are proud to support Her Walk and Plan International on a voluntary basis,” say Liesbet Dezillie and Valerie De Coster of New Balls Please.

Why Her Walk

Research by Plan International Belgium shows that nine out of ten girls in Belgium have experienced sexual harassment. With Her Walk, the NGO wants to make that reality visible and raise funds. The goal is 200,000 euros for projects that create safe spaces for girls and help prevent sexual violence, in Belgium and worldwide.

The walk starts at 7 pm at arts centre VIERNULVIER in Ghent, which also hosts the Safe Village and an afterparty for International Day of the Girl. You can sign up individually or as a team via herwalk.be.
